http://vimeo.com/68027581 Near shore conditions being what they were, we went to Catalina instead. Or darn!! Ship Rock and Eagle Reef. Flat, calm, kinda clear, no sun. I spent my time trying out my new PolarPro Magenta Fiter for the GoPro. It color corrects for green water. I purchased this. I give it a thumbs up. But, the design needs some work. The retainer tab broke off after ONE dive. And, I lost it. In no surge, or current. :-( Secondly, I was surprised to see all the abalone. They seemed to be hungry, and I'm a sucker for a hungry abalone. So I fed them their favorite dish, kelp. If you try this, be sure to offer it up at the correct end of the shell. Does anyone find it surprising that a sailboat carrying 80 to 90 bales of marijuana was beached in Newport Harbor after a brief chase by the Coast Guard? This occurred at 1 a.m. on June 3 after the drug smugglers entered the harbor and refused to allow the Coast Guard personnel to board the sailboat.
